We started our Agromax Project in 2016. In partnership with Wakisa Pregnancy Clinic in Uganda, we noticed new moms who had dropped out of school due to pregnancy, were now left trying to raise children. They needed some skills to make a living. We enroll these moms in a six month agriculture course (Agromax) about one hour away from Wakisa. They learn excellent skills in farming as well as in business. They are learning how to earn money from growing a quality product and gaining personal pride and self-esteem along the way. The cost of each student for six months is $600, which provides for the training as well as room & board.
